Physical Therapist Assistant Meet the Instructors Karen Ryan PTA Karen Ryan has been an educator and author for IER for more than six years. In addition she has 20 years of experience as a physical therapy clinician and more than 12 years of experience as a PTA educator. Karen received her physical therapist assistant education and degree at St. Catherine’s College St. Mary’s Campus in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She has worked in many practice settings throughout her career and is currently working as a physical therapist assistant and marketing director at a private practice, Back to Motion, in Denver Colorado. Throughout her career she has served in multiple elected and appointed positions for the APTA, Iowa and Colorado Chapters, and for the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy. Jane S Baldwin PT, DPT Dr. Baldwin received her physical therapy education at Northeastern University and Simmons College. She is currently clinical supervisor of Pediatrics and Neurology/Integrated Rehabilitation Programs at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital’s Outpatient Center. She is actively involved in the American Physical Therapy Association both nationally and locally. She has served as Chief Delegate, Delegate, Vice President, and Secretary. She has also served on several national and chapter task forces. Dr. Baldwin’s current clinical interests include neurology in the adult and child, spasticity management, motor control and traumatic brain injury.
