If you don’t see the email with the 6-digit code, have a new code sent to you, and then check all possible folders to see if it comes through. If you do find the email, the code may be expired and you’ll need to have another one sent.

If you are using a school (“.edu”) email address, create a new account using a “.com” email address (i.e. gmail, yahoo). The 6-digit code will deliver to that address – it may still go to your spam folder, so be sure to look there.

TherapyEd is the publisher of the Review & Study Guides it sells, and it sets its own prices. Sometimes people buy books from us and sell them somewhere else (such as Amazon), always at a higher price (sometimes much higher).

Yes, we offer a Class Order discount for bulk purchases of the Review & Study Guides. The bulk order pricing and order form can be requested by phone or email, or by going here.  You may also place your quantity order directly through our website.

Yes, because you have already bought the Review & Study Guide you can register for the course at the less expensive “Course without Guide” price. This way you do not end up buying the book twice when you take the course.

Is this true even though I bought the book someplace other than from TherapyEd?

Yes. Just check the box indicating you already have the book and then enter the month and year (approximately) you purchased it.

The PT and OT courses are each two full days. The PTA and OTA courses are one full day.

Sign-in for the courses begins at 8:00am and the course starts up at 8:30am.

Yes, we ship our textbooks all around the world. When entering your shipping or billing address, the Country field is already pre-filled with “United States”. Click the drop-down arrow in this space to view a list of countries, and select your country. Once you do, the correct ship method and cost will appear in the payment section. Shipping and handling for one book to Canada is (USD)$20. Shipping and handling for one book to other countries is (USD)$50.

We ship books from Illinois via UPS Ground with an expected arrival between 2-4 days for most continental US locations, or via UPS SurePost with an expected arrival between 3-6 days.

Because the FSBPT and NBCOT (the licensing and certification bodies) do not release the exams there is no way to precisely correlate the TherapyEd practice exams to the actual exams.  Regardless of your score on the first practice test, the goal of these tests is to improve your score with each take.  We give you the tools to learn test-taking skills and identify your areas of weaknesses, to best prepare you for exam day.

We recommend that students register at least 2 weeks prior to the course date for both In Person and Online courses. This allows us to better estimate the number of Course Manuals to provide for distribution at class or to ship to your home. If necessary, you can register up to the day or two before the course, however we cannot guarantee there will be enough Course Manuals available; in this case, we’ll ship the manual to your home address and you’ll receive it after the course.

You are not required to have the Review & Study Guide in the course itself. When you attend the course, you will receive the Course Manual and follow the instructor’s presentation. These materials are unique to the class and not duplicated in the Review & Study Guide. If you register late for the course you can use standard shipping and receive the Review & Study Guide after the course with no problem. This book is best used as part of your study plan after the course.

No audio or video recordings of the course are permitted.

Yes, this course is accepted by state boards as a remedial course. Once you complete the course we will send out a Certificate of Completion to you and the state board of your choice. Please email us after completing the course and we will send out the certificate of completion upon request.

We post all current courses on the website and we are always adding new courses as they are confirmed. If you cannot find an on-campus course near you, then you can take one of our live ONLINE courses. These courses appear on our course listing page. In addition, if you would like to set up an on-campus course, you can email us at info@TherapyEd.com and we can work to organize one near you.

We would be happy to give the course at your school. Just contact us at info@TherapyEd.com and let us know what school you go to and when you would like the course. We will then work to schedule the course at your school.

Some university bookstores buy the book from us and have it available for students. However, retail bookstores do not sell our books. The only place you are guaranteed availability of the most current version is on this site.

The NPTE Review & Study Guide is updated every year and the new edition comes out in the fall. For example, the 2025 NPTE Review & Study Guide will come out in the fall of  2024.

The Review & Study Guide for the NBCOT’s OTR exam is updated every two to four years to be current with the exam.

The PTA Review & Study Guide are updated every two to five years to be current with the exam outline.

The Review & Study Guide for the NBCOT’s COTA exam is updated every two to four years to be current with the exam.

We make every effort to give courses on the days they are scheduled for. On rare occasions where severe weather can close a school campus, we will have to re-schedule. If this is a possibility, we will notify you via email to let you know the status of the course. A make-up class is scheduled as close to the original date as possible.

The Course Manual is only given out at the course and is not sold separately.

We offer a 30-day return policy for individual sales of the Review & Study Guides. You can return your Review & Study Guide within 30 days of receiving your purchased book. You will be refunded the full price of the text. TherapyEd does not pay the cost of return shipping. Returns are not available if the access code for the online exams has already been activated.

We accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover cards online, with all charges made in U.S. dollars. We also accept checks and money orders denominated in U.S. dollars and sent to our office. Charges are for the exact amount of the course or book plus shipping and handling if applicable.

We apply the same 30 day return policy to the eBook as well as the printed copy.  Just call or email us to ask to return your eBook and we’ll refund your purchase.

E-Books can be accessed through the TherapyEd website by clicking on the “E-Book” link at the top of the page, next to the shopping cart.  You’ll be using the award-winning RedShelf eReader with built-in study tools including highlighting, definitions, text-to-speech, flashcards, note-sharing, and more.  Your E-Book can be accessed with a computer, tablet, or phone.

TherapyEd online practice exams are designed to count down to zero from the standard allowed exam time.  However, the exam does not end when it reaches zero.  Instead, it will continue to count the time, and you’ll be able to take as long as you need to finish the exam.  It will only end once you answer the last question and then click the “Submit” button.

When you purchase an E-Book through our website, you are sent an automatic email receipt for the purchase. An access code for the online practice tests is included in the receipt. If you can’t find the email, we can resend it upon request.

Each print copy has an access code inside the back cover of the book.  You will have acccess to the code once the book is delivered to you.

TherapyED ZOOM^® Meeting Options for Participants with Hearing Loss

Persons with hearing loss can join Zoom^® sessions for TherapyED prep courses, Tuesday online office hours, and personal tutoring sessions. Join before the session begins and request closed captions via group chat or, for privacy, via direct chat with the instructor. If you have the instructor’s contact information, contact them before the session.

TherapyED ZOOM^® Meeting Options for Instructors to Engage Participants with Hearing Loss

1. Open the ZOOM^® browser.

2. Open a specific meeting or webinar.

3. In the tool bar, open the dropdown box MORE on the far-right side.

4. Open the SEE CAPTIONS CC link located between RECORD and DOCS options.

5. Select settings of FONT STYLE, SIZE, and COLOR.

6. Select PIN TO BOTTOM of screen or POP OUT OVERLAY to move the caption box to other areas of the screen.

7. HOST OPTIONS include access to:

a. Allow closed captioning for this meeting,

b. Lock caption language for this meeting,

8. The CAPTIONS option box remains in the tool bar throughout the meeting or webinar, with HIDE CC or SHOW CC.
